teriyaki sauce Recipe


1. In a small saucepan, combine the soy sauce, water, rice vinegar, brown sugar, honey, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Stir well to combine.
2. Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring the mixture to a simmer.
3. In a small bowl, mix together the cornstarch and water to make a slurry.
4. Gradually pour the cornstarch slurry into the simmering sauce, stirring constantly.
5. Continue to cook the sauce, stirring frequently, until it thickens to your desired consistency. This usually takes about 2-3 minutes.
6. Once the sauce has thickened, remove it from the heat and let it cool slightly before using.
7. Use the teriyaki sauce immediately, or store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
