Spicy Crispy Chicken Sandwich


Marinate the chicken: In a bowl, combine buttermilk and hot sauce. Add chicken breasts and marinate for at least 1 hour in the fridge.
Prepare the flour mixture: In another bowl, mix flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper.
Fry the chicken: Heat oil in a deep fryer or large skillet to 350°F (175°C). Remove chicken from the buttermilk, dredge in the flour mixture, and fry until golden and cooked through, about 4-5 minutes per side.
Assemble the sandwiches: Spread mayonnaise or aioli on the bottom half of each bun. Place a fried chicken breast on each, then top with lettuce, tomato, and pickles. Cover with the top bun.
