Simple and Affordable Ciabatta Bread

Start the Yeast.

In a little bowl, mix the dry yeast in 100 ml of warm water (out of the total 375-400 ml).

Leave it for approximately 5 minutes until it gets bubbly.

2. Combine the ingredients to make the dough.

In a big bowl, mix the bread flour and salt.

Mix the yeast mixture, the rest of the water, and olive oil with the flour mixture.

Mix until the ingredients come together to form a sticky dough. If the dough is too dry, add a little more water until it has the right thickness.

First Increase:

Place a clean towel or plastic wrap over the bowl and leave the dough in a warm spot for 1-2 hours until it doubles in size.

Form the dough into a shape.

Heat your oven to 220°C (430°F) before using it.

Sprinkle a lot of flour on a flat surface and carefully place the dough on it. Be cautious not to press the dough too hard.

Form the dough into a rough rectangle by folding it over a few times.

Place the dough on a baking sheet with parchment paper or a cloth sprinkled with flour, cover it, and let it sit for around 30 minutes.

Cook in the oven.

Put the bread in the oven that has been heated beforehand and bake for 20 minutes until it turns golden brown and gets a crunchy crust.

To make a crunchy crust, put a small pan of water in the oven while baking to create steam.

Chill and serve.

Take the ciabatta bread out of the oven and allow it to cool on a wire rack before cutting and serving.

Ways to serve.

Serve with olive oil and balsamic vinegar to dip in.

Use for sandwiches or grilled sandwiches.
