Recipe for Flatbread with Cheese and Oregano

In a big bowl, mix together the flour, salt, and baking powder.
Put the vegetable oil and mix it thoroughly until the flour has soaked up the oil.
Slowly pour the hot water while stirring constantly until a dough is created.
Work the dough thoroughly for around 10 minutes until it is smooth and stretchy. This step is very important for the flatbread’s texture.
Place a wet cloth over the dough and leave it for 15-20 minutes.
Make the filling:
Grate or finely chop the cheese.
Combine the cheese with dried oregano in a bowl.
Make the flatbreads.
Separate the dough into the same-sized pieces, according to the size of the flatbreads you like.
Make each part into a round shape.
Flatten each ball into a circle by rolling it with a rolling pin.
Put some of the cheese and oregano mix in the middle of each circle.
Wrap the dough around the filling and make sure to close the edges tightly. You can use a small amount of water to close the edges.
Make the flatbreads.
Warm up the oil in a frying pan on medium heat.
Put the filled flatbreads in the pan and cook until they are golden brown on each side, which should take around 3-4 minutes per side.
Take out of the pan and place on paper towels to get rid of extra oil.

Serve the flatbreads warm with a fresh salad or a sauce like tzatziki or marinara on the side.
