Pepper Steak


Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Add the steak strips and brown them quickly on both sides, then remove and set aside.
In the same skillet, add the bell peppers and onion, cooking until just tender.
Add the garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds.
Return the steak to the skillet along with soy sauce, oyster sauce, and beef broth.
Bring to a simmer, then stir in the cornstarch mixture. Cook until the sauce thickens.
Season with black pepper and serve hot, ideally over rice or noodles.
