Meatball Subs recipe

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
Shape the mixture into 8-12 meatballs, depending on your preferred size.
Prepare Sauce:

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add diced onion and minced garlic, cooking until the onion turns translucent, about 5 minutes.
Stir in crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and sugar. Bring the sauce to a simmer.
Cook Meatballs:

Place the meatballs into the sauce, ensuring they are fully coated. Cover the skillet and simmer for 20 minutes, or until the meatballs are cooked through.
Toast Rolls:

Split the hoagie rolls lengthwise and place them on a baking sheet. Toast in the preheated oven for 5 minutes.
Assemble Subs:

Remove the rolls from the oven and place a slice of mozzarella cheese on the bottom half of each roll.
Arrange the cooked meatballs on top of the cheese, then spoon some of the tomato sauce over them.
Top with the other half of the roll and press down gently.
Bake:

Return the assembled subs to the oven and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the rolls are crispy.
Serve:

Serve the meatball subs hot and enjoy this hearty and delicious meal!
These Meatball Subs are sure to satisfy your cravings with their juicy meatballs, flavorful sauce, and gooey cheese, all nestled in a warm hoagie roll. Enjoy!
