Fudgy Chocolate Brownie Cookies


Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
In a small saucepan over low heat, melt butter and chocolate chips together, stirring until smooth. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
In a large bowl, whisk together granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.
Stir in the cooled chocolate mixture.
Sift together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
Drop dough by heaped tablespoons onto prepared baking sheets. If desired, press extra chocolate chips or chunks on top of each cookie.
Bake for 10-12 minutes, until the edges are set but the centers are still soft.
Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
