Double Delight Chocolate Chip Cookie


Sift together flours, baking powder, baking soda, and salt into a medium bowl and set aside.
Using a paddle attachment on a standing mixer, cream together butter and sugars at medium speed until fluffy and light in color.
Reduce mixer speed to low, add the egg, fully incorporate, then add vanilla extract.
Slowly add the flour mixture until just combined, then stir in chocolate chips.
Set aside in a bowl.
Chocolate-Chocolate Chip Cookies:

On low speed, add the egg, fully incorporate, then add vanilla extract and heavy cream.
Gradually add the flour mixture until just combined, then fold in chocolate chips.
Set aside in a bowl.
Cookie Dough Prep:
Take a heaping 1/3 cup of one type of cookie dough, roll into a ball, and flatten into a circle.
Take slightly less than 1/3 cup of the other cookie dough, place in the center, and wrap the outer dough around, pinching to seal.
Flatten the assembled dough slightly and place on a jelly roll pan.
Cluster extra chocolate chips on top and press gently to set.
Freeze for at least 30 minutes before baking.
Bake at 350°F for 17-20 minutes and allow to cool for 5 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.
