As soon as a casserole comes out of the oven, it brings a sense of coziness. It brings back warm memories of gatherings with loved ones, when tales are shared and laughter is heard while eating platters of handmade, hearty cuisine. Even while this dish is filling on its own, it goes well with a simple green salad that has been prepared in a mild vinaigrette for a refreshing twist. A scoop of apple sauce or some acidic coleslaw would be great accompaniments to the savory sausage if you’re going for a more vibrant presentation.
