Crockpot Pork Ribs with Honey Balsamic Glaze

Prepare the Ribs: If the spare ribs have a membrane on the back, remove it by sliding a knife under the membrane and pulling it away from the ribs. Cut the rack of ribs into individual portions if desired.

Season the Ribs: In a small bowl, mix together the minced garlic, onion powder, dried thyme, black pepper, and kosher salt. Rub this seasoning mixture evenly over the surface of the ribs.

Make the Glaze: In another bowl, whisk together the balsamic vinegar, Dijon mustard, honey, and fresh lemon juice until well combined.

Place the Ribs in the Crockpot: Pour the water into the bottom of the crockpot. Arrange the seasoned ribs in the crockpot in a single layer.

Pour the Glaze: Drizzle the honey balsamic glaze over the ribs, making sure to coat them evenly.

Cook: Cover the crockpot with the lid and cook the ribs on low heat for 6-8 hours, or until the meat is tender and easily pulls away from the bones. Alternatively, you can cook them on high heat for 3-4 hours.

Baste: Optionally, halfway through the cooking time, baste the ribs with some of the juices from the bottom of the crockpot to keep them moist and flavorful.

Serve: Once the ribs are cooked, remove them from the crockpot and transfer them to a serving platter. Serve hot, garnished with additional fresh herbs if desired.
