Classic Chicago-Style Deep Dish Pizza

Prepare the dough: In a mixing bowl, combine flour, cornmeal, sugar, yeast, and salt. Add warm water and melted butter, and mix until a soft dough forms. Knead on a floured surface until smooth.
Let it rise: Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm area until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
Prep the pan: Brush a 12-inch round deep-dish pizza pan with olive oil. Press the dough evenly into the bottom and up the sides of the pan.
Layer the ingredients: Start with mozzarella slices, add cooked sausage, and then pour the marinara sauce over the top. Sprinkle with Parmesan and Italian seasoning.
Bake: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Bake the pizza for 25-30 minutes until the crust is golden and cheese is bubbly.
Garnish and serve: Let cool for 5 minutes before garnishing with fresh basil. Slice and serve.
