Cherry Cheese Coffee Cake



1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
2. Unroll the crescent dough and separate it into 16 triangles, reserving 4 for later.
3. Arrange 12 triangles on a baking sheet in a circular shape, leaving a 3-inch hole in the center.
4. Roll out the dough into a 14-inch circle, pressing the seams together.
5. In a medium bowl, mix the cream cheese, powdered sugar, egg, and vanilla until smooth.
6. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the dough, leaving a 1/2-inch border around the edges.
7. Spoon the cherry pie filling over the cream cheese layer.
8. Cut the remaining 4 triangles into thirds and arrange the strips evenly over the filling, pressing the ends to seal.
9. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes until golden brown.
10. While the cake is baking, prepare the glaze by mixing powdered sugar and milk until smooth.
11. Drizzle the glaze over the baked coffee cake before serving. Enjoy!
