Brown the sausage with the onion and garlic until onion softens, about 7 mins.
Add diced tomatoes, sauce, broth, seasonings (I added Italian seasoning, pepper, crushed red pepper),and tortellini. Bring to a simmer and cover, cook about 12 mins or until pasta is cooked. Remove from heat, sprinkle mozzarella and chopped basil. Serve once cheese is melted. Very easy, delicious, quick, and cheap.
