Cheesy Baked Spaghetti Recipe

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with cooking spray or butter.
Cook the spaghetti noodles according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef or Italian sausage and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon as it cooks.
Add the finely chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet with the cooked meat. Cook for 2-3 minutes, or until the onion is soft and translucent.
Pour the marinara sauce into the skillet with the meat mixture. Stir to combine and simmer for 5-7 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning to taste.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked spaghetti noodles and the meat sauce. Toss until the noodles are evenly coated with the sauce.
Spread half of the spaghetti mixture into the prepared baking dish.
Sprinkle half of the shredded mozzarella cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, and grated Parmesan cheese over the spaghetti layer.
Repeat with the remaining spaghetti mixture and cheese, creating a second layer.
Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes.
After 20 minutes, remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the edges are golden brown.
Once done, remove the baked spaghetti from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
Garnish with chopped fresh parsley, if desired, before serving.
