Blackberry Bliss Cheesecake


Prepare the Topping:
In a small saucepan, combine the fresh blackberries and granulated sugar.
Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the blackberries break down and form a thick sauce, about 5-7 minutes.
Remove from heat and let the mixture cool slightly.
Use a fine mesh sieve to strain the blackberry sauce, pressing down with a spoon to extract as much liquid as possible. Discard the solids.
Decorate and Serve:
Once the cheesecake is chilled and set, carefully remove it from the springform pan.
Drizzle the blackberry sauce over the top of the cheesecake.
Garnish with fresh blackberries as desired.
