Banana Chocolate Chip Muffins


Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a muffin tin with paper liners or grease the cups.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the mashed bananas with sugar, egg, and melted butter, mixing until well incorporated.
In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
Gently fold the dry ingredients into the banana mixture until just combined. Do not overmix.
Stir in the chocolate chips.
Spoon the batter into the prepared muffin tin, filling each cup about three-quarters full.
Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a muffin comes out clean.
Let the muffins cool in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
