An All-Natural Sweetener: Dandelion Honey

To start, carefully wash the dandelion blooms under cold water to get rid of any debris or dirt. When using flowers, make sure they are completely bloomed and as fresh as possible.

Put the lemon slices, water, and dandelion blossoms in a big saucepan. Once the mixture reaches a low boil, lower the heat and simmer for around half an hour. Doing so will aid in bringing out the blooms’ inherent sweetness and taste.

Once the mixture has simmered, remove any solid particles by straining it through a fine-mesh screen or cheesecloth. What remains is a liquid infusion.

Put the liquid back in the pan and mix in the sugar until it melts. Return the mixture to a boil, then lower the heat and simmer for around one to two hours, or until it thickens into a syrup.

After the mixture has thickened to your preferred consistency, take it from the fire and let it to cool for a little. Then, transfer it to sterile jars and store.

Voilà! You just prepared your own batch of dandelion honey! Try it as a topping on toast, a drizzle over yoghurt, or a substitute for sugar in your go-to dishes. Indulge in the flavor of summer sunlight with every golden drop!
