American Goulash Recipe

In a large skillet or Dutch oven, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned, breaking it up with a spoon. Drain any excess fat.
Add the chopped onion to the skillet and cook until softened, about 3-4 minutes.
Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1 minute, until fragrant.
Stir in the diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, Italian seasoning, paprika, sugar, salt, and pepper. Bring the mixture to a simmer.
Add the elbow macaroni to the skillet and stir to combine. Cover and simmer for about 12-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the macaroni is cooked al dente and the sauce has thickened.
If desired, sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the top of the goulash during the last few minutes of cooking, and let it melt.
Remove the skillet from heat and let the goulash sit for a few minutes to thicken.
Serve the American Goulash hot, garnished with chopped fresh parsley if desired.
Enjoy your comforting American Goulash!
